Three bodies have been recovered from a ridge in the Highlands. The hikers have been missing since Saturday evening. You were traveling on a particularly demanding route.

In Scotland, three mountain hikers have died on a dangerous route. The bodies were found on the Aonach Eagach ridge in the Highlands, rescue workers said.

This is the narrowest ridge in mainland Britain. The route, which is about ten kilometers long in total, is demanding and also leads over two peaks, each about 1000 meters high.

The hikers are said to be two men and one woman. Age and origin initially remained unclear. The three hikers had been missing since Saturday evening. There are no suspicious circumstances, it said.

Scotland’s Prime Minister Humza Yousaf expressed his condolences to the family. In recent years, people have repeatedly died on the mountain massif.
