High up: Lectures by the Alpine Club – Ebersberg

In the Ebersberg-Grafing section of the German Alpine Association, there are lecture evenings again between January and March. Uschi and Martin Rau will kick things off on January 19th. The two were in Nepal with their cameras and report about the dream city of their youth, Kathmandu, about Yaks, Yetis and Sherpas and about great trekking days in the Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam area. On January 26th, Rüdiger Za will report on an experience of crossing the Alps on the dream path Munich – Venice. Christian Ranke reports on February 9th about wonderful tours on the Tamang Heritage Trail and in the Langtang not far from the Tibetan border and about ascents of demanding 6000m peaks in the Everest region. Margot Morris and Manfred Stiegler walked lonely paths on the Lasörling Höhenweg and show photos of spectacular landscapes on March 2nd. Finally, on March 23rd, as part of “On the road with the section”, Hans Brenner reports on guided tours of the section over the past two years.

The lectures always take place on Thursdays at 8 p.m. in the clubhouse at Grafinger Stadtbahnhof in Lagerhausstraße 17.
