High school students victims of pepper poisoning?

When the firefighters were called shortly before 9:30 a.m., three students and a teacher were involved. But when help arrived in the kitchens of the Louis-Guilloux vocational school in Rennes, a dozen high school students felt bad. This Tuesday morning, the students and their teacher were in cooking class when they were surprised by respiratory discomfort, some bordering on discomfort. “They suffered from respiratory and eye irritations. We preferred to send a chemical risk team, ”explain the firefighters of Ille-et-Vilaine.

When they arrived, the emergency services made a quick tour of the premises to ventilate everything and ensure that no toxic substance had escaped. The Sdis and Samu nurses also took the time to examine the ten students and their teacher. None of them were transported. The reason for these irritations could actually come from the peppers that the students were handling during their lesson. The rescue teams were able to leave the scene at the end of the morning.
