Herbert Hainer remains President of Bayern Munich: The 68-year-old was re-elected with 83 percent
Herbert Hainer remains President of Bayern Munich. The former Adidas CEO was re-elected at the annual general meeting. However, he is unlikely to be completely satisfied with the election result. This ended up being weaker than three years ago.

Hainer shouldn’t be all that happy with his re-election. He received 1092 yes votes out of 1395 votes. There were also 85 abstentions and 218 votes against. Accordingly, Hainer won the election with about 78 percent of the votes.
A number that reads well at first glance, but actually isn’t. Just three years ago, Hainer received 98.1 percent of the votes when he was elected to succeed Uli Hoeneß.

“Herbert Hainer is extremely important for our club. His experience, his skills, his network and above all his love and commitment to FC Bayern make him an outstanding president and CEO,” he explained.
The Vice-Presidents Dieter Mayer and Walter Mennekes were also confirmed in their offices with a clear majority. Accordingly, everything remains the same in the Bavarian Presidium.
