Hérault placed on orange alert for “waves and submersion”

Hérault has been placed on orange alert. From Wednesday morning, at 6 a.m., the department should face strong wave surges, with high sea levels, “risking causing submersion”, indicate the services of Météo France.

Residents are urged to avoid going to sea, to move away from the coast, and to stay informed. Météo France specifies that the departments of Aude, Gard and Bouches-du-Rhône will be impacted, “to a lesser extent”, by strong waves, combined with high sea levels. These three departments have been placed on yellow alert.
