Helmut Newton: The exhibition and the illustrated book pay tribute to the works of the photographer

In January 2004, the great Helmut Newton died at the age of 83 as a result of a traffic accident in Los Angeles. His photographs, especially the portraits of strong women, have not been forgotten to this day. He founded the three months before his death “Helmut Newton Foundation”who has since organized regular exhibitions to preserve the work of Newton and his wife June.

From October 31st, a large retrospective entitled “Helmut Newton. Legacy” will be on view, dealing with the work of the photographer, who was born in 1920. The show was originally supposed to be shown last year on Newton’s 100th birthday, but due to the corona situation it had to be postponed. Now it opens its doors one year after the anniversary. Around 300 works will be shown, many of them recordings that have achieved iconic status. But also pictures that have never been presented to the public before.
