“Don’t worry about me,” Helene Fischer calls out to her fans in between. “I feel fantastic!” In March, the pop singer broke a rib while rehearsing for her new tour, and the start of the tour in Bremen had to be postponed without further ado. Now Fischer has received approval from the doctors and is on stage for the first concert of their mega tour in Hamburg.
30 songs, six outfits, the stage show as a spectacle: Fischer doesn’t leave out any superlatives. She hovers on a swing above fans, flies through the air, stands upside down on a robotic arm and twirls around an artificial waterfall. At the end of the evening she introduces a new song: Hand in Hand. “He tells my story, what was going on inside me.” For the first time, says Fischer, she wrote songs herself for the new album. “I wrote lyrics that come from the bottom of my heart. I open up and share my feelings with you.”
