Europe is struggling with the heat wave. In many countries the thermometer is climbing these days or even over 40 degrees. According to the weather service, the hottest day of the year to date is also imminent in Germany. The reason for the heat wave is a high over Central Europe, which is slowly moving eastward and is bringing increasingly hot air of subtropical origin from the southwest.
