Hauts-de-Seine inaugurates three ephemeral pools to teach 6th grade students to swim

“50% of children in sixth grade cannot swim. » It is in view of this observation that the Hauts-de-Seine departmental council inaugurated this Monday an ephemeral pool in Châtenay-Malabry in the presence of Georges Siffredi, the president of the department, Valérie Pécresse, president of the Île-de region -France and the president of the French swimming federation, Gilles Sezionale.

Thanks to this pool and two others installed in Clichy and Suresnes, the 4,000 6th grade students in the department will be able to develop their swimming practice. But not only. A few months before the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, they will also discover the values ​​of Olympicism and the practice of Paralympic swimming.

These pools will also be available to cities, associative structures and the UNSS on Wednesday afternoon.
