Politicians who try to be funny don’t always come across as well as they would like. William Wragg and four of his colleagues from the 1922 Conservative Committee thought it would be a good idea to line up in their suits and ties in the Committee Room in the House of Commons for a group photo on the hottest day in British history, surrounded by nine fans. Wragg posted the picture to Twitter and captioned it, “The heat is on,” with a red-faced, sweating emoji.
