The draft law on the planned citizens’ income is to be passed in the government this Wednesday. Shortly before, the handling of recipients of basic security is again discussed controversially. In addition to increasing the standard rates by 50 euros, it is also about the sanctions. In the debate on the reform of Hartz IV, job center employees repeatedly had their say, stating that sanctions were often the last resort in order to establish personal contact with their customers at all.
