While grandpa Charles was celebrating his coronation in London, little Archie got a very special birthday present – a bicycle!
The Coronation of King Charles III. (74) and Queen Camilla (75) on May 6 in London was a highlight for millions of royal fans worldwide. Little Archie (4) should have been much more happy about something completely different that day. The son of Prince Harry (38) and Duchess Meghan (41) also celebrated his fourth birthday on May 6th – and got a bike as a gift!
But the great gift wasn’t from mom and dad, but from a bike shop in Montecito, California. Harry also lives there with his wife, son and daughter Lilibet (2).
A “lovely surprise” for the whole family
Her British partner spontaneously came up with the idea of giving the little royal a bike, the store’s owner, Jennifer Blevins, tells People magazine. Martin, as he is called, picked out a children’s bike with training wheels and brought it to the royal mansion with some balloons, a card and flowers for Meghan. Due to security measures, however, he was unable to present the gift in person.
Nevertheless, the bicycle apparently reached Archie, as the store shows on its Instagram account. An employee from the Sussexes’ office thanked Harry and Meghan for the birthday present in a letter. “The bike was a lot of fun,” it says, among other things. The couple personally requested that they be grateful for “the lovely surprise.”
