All Harry Potter fans will be returning to Hogwarts in 2022. For the reunion, actors from all eight films came together again. A first picture of the special now increases the anticipation.
Harry Potter fans have every reason to look forward to 2022. Not only does the movie “Fantastic Beasts 3” hit the cinemas in April, Warner Bros. Pictures has also put together a reunion special for the 20th anniversary of “The Philosopher’s Stone”. For “Harry Potter and the Return to Hogwarts”, actors from all eight films in the fantasy series come together again – above all Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.
The streaming service HBO Max, which broadcasts the special in the USA, has now published a first photo of the filming of the Reunion in advance. “As if they had never been gone,” says the picture that shows the three main characters. Die-hard fans should recognize the setting immediately: The three stars take their places in the recording in the common room of the Gryffindor house. After all, this is where her characters Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley have their home in the Hogwarts Magic School.
The picture and the reunion special were taken on the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London. Many of the original sets are still there and are also open to visitors.
In Germany, Sky is showing the “Harry Potter” reunion
In the USA, the big special with the official title “Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return To Hogwarts” will run from January 1, 2022 on HBO Max. In Germany, the reunion in January 2022 will be shown exclusively on Sky and its streaming service Sky Ticket . The pay TV provider has not yet announced an exact date.
The retrospective special tells the making-of story of the Harry Potter films and shows brand new interviews with the actors. Actors such as Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Imelda Staunton and Tom Felton also take part in the homage.
Sky and Sky Ticket will also add Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses to their program. In the four-part special, hosted by Helen Mirren, fans of the Wizarding World can put their knowledge of Harry Potter to the test and be named champion of the House Cup.
