Since the first “Harry Potter” film, David Holmes has been Daniel Radcliffe’s stunt double. The two have developed a relationship over the years. Then disaster struck.

Actor Daniel Radcliffe (34) co-produced a documentary about his former stuntman. David Holmes was at a “Harry Potter” filming and has been paralyzed ever since. The film “David Holmes: The Boy who lived” will now tell his story, as the British media company Sky and the US broadcaster HBO announced.

Holmes was a young gymnast from southeast England when he was chosen as a stunt double for the first “Harry Potter” film, the statement said. Stuntman Holmes and lead actor Radcliffe worked together for several years and developed a relationship.

Holmes was injured while working on the penultimate film “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1”, the PA news agency reported on Wednesday. The documentary will now look at his previous stunts and his life today.
