Harry and Meghan make it clear in a new statement that they have nothing to do with the nasty comment after Kate’s photo mishap.

The fuss over Princess Kate’s (42) photo faux pas on British Mother’s Day is not going away. Anonymous sources who are said to have come from the environment of Prince Harry (39) and Duchess Meghan (42) were allowed took a swipe at the Princess of Wales to Page Six, claiming: “This is a mistake that would never have happened to Meghan… she has a keen eye and incredible attention to detail.” Through a spokesman for their Archewell Foundation, Harry and Meghan announced that they had nothing to do with the comment.

“As for ‘Page Six’, that didn’t come from us,” the Sussex spokesman told Newsweek. The couple did not comment further on the headlines currently surrounding Kate and the Royal Family.

A photo of the Princess of Wales and their three children George (10), Charlotte (8) and Louis (5) was posted on William and Kate’s Instagram account last Sunday for British Mother’s Day. However, fans and the media quickly noticed the parts of the photo that had been manipulated and indeed: Kate then apologized via X (formerly Twitter) and admitted to editing the photo. Meanwhile, photo agencies stopped passing on the manipulated photo.

But instead of calming the fuss surrounding her, Kate’s statement only fueled the rumor mill even more. Since then, the credibility of the British royals has been increasingly questioned. Recently it was even said that the most recent photo of Kate and Prince William (41) in the car on Commonwealth Day (March 11th) had been manipulated.

The son of King Charles III. (75) was on the way to Westminster Abbey in the paparazzi picture, Kate was sitting next to him in the back seat, but did not take part in the service. Rumors arose that the silhouette of Kate’s face looking out the window had been retouched. The photographer of the picture recently denied this. “We don’t edit our photos,” he emphasized to the New York Post.
