In reaction to this tragedy, the Minister of Education spoke this Wednesday at the beginning of the evening during a press conference in front of his ministry. Gabriel Attal recalled that the teenager was educated in 3rd trade preparation at the Adrienne-Bolland vocational high school, before specifying that the acts of harassment had been reported in December 2022. It was about “bullying and insults repeated by students who have been identified”, detailed Gabriel Attal, before continuing: “in March 2023, the parents of the victim and the parents of the students in question were received by the management of the establishment. »

Still according to Gabriel Attal, the victim’s family sent a letter to the management of the establishment in April 2023, reproaching him for his inaction in the face of harassment. “For its part, the school indicated that it had set up a follow-up with the student,” recalled the former government spokesperson.

The family spoke of harassment suffered in the former establishment frequented by the young man.
