Harald Welzer: “End of time”. Reckoning with the Scholz government – culture

The social psychologist Harald Welzer, known from radio, television and long sessions in the Internet format “Young & Naive”, has once again written a book. He has set himself a lot. This is not new, because Welzer has always dealt with the big issues in his books. In “The Smart Dictatorship” from 2016 with the fetish of consumption and a power-obsessed industry; in “We are the majority” from 2017 with right-wing populism and the open society; in “Everything could be different” from 2019 with the future of society. There is always something worth considering and clever to read in his books. But this time, to make it short, Welzer got it wrong.
