Hanna W. murder trial: witnesses who mainly cause confusion – Bavaria

Verena R. realized just a few minutes later that she might have messed something up. A Thursday in November 2022, she had just testified to the police in Traunstein. It was about the murder of 23-year-old medical student Hanna W., who was found dead in Prien on October 3, 2022. Until this afternoon, the investigators had no suspect; they had wanted to talk to Verena R. because her friend Sebastian T. was jogging in Aschau near the “Eiskeller” club in the early morning of October 3rd – at the time that Hanna W. made the 885 meter long journey home from there. By then, Sebastian T. had testified twice to the police as a witness. After the investigators talked to Verena R., T. was more than a witness for them. He was now the suspect. Because R. said that T. had already told her about the murder on October 3rd, at a time when only the perpetrator could have known about it.
