The Norwegian singer Hank von Helvete, known among other things for Turbonegro, has died. He was only 49 years old.

Hans-Erik Dyvik Husby (1972-2021), better known by his stage name Hank von Helvete, died at the age of 49. This was confirmed by his manager Boye Nythun the Norwegian broadcaster NRK.

Even on the Instagram account of the musician, the sad news was brought to the fans. Accordingly, the singer, who was also known as Hank von Hell, died on November 19th.

His band mourns the loss of “generous people”

From 1993 to 2010 Hank von Helvete was the singer of the Norwegian punk’n’roll formation Turbonegro. The band has already spoken on Facebook. “He was a warm and generous person, a spiritually and intellectually seeking person who loved to have a conversation with everyone. We are proud of what we have created together as rock brothers in Turbonegro,” the post said. In the past, Hank von Helvete had struggled with drug problems. The band split in 1998 and celebrated a reunion in 2002. In 2010 the singer finally left Turbonegro. In the same year he was seen in the film “Cornelis”, in which he played the Swedish singer Cornelis Vreeswijk (1937-1987).
