“Austria is the surprise team at the European Championships so far,” said Gislason. However, Germany still has to improve in some areas compared to the performance against Iceland. “We have to do a lot of things better. Our attack wasn’t good enough, especially in the first half.”

Above all, the two backcourt players Mykola Bilyk from THW Kiel and Lukas Hutecek from TBV Lemgo Lippe should get the German defense under control.
