The European Handball Championship 2024 will also take place in the Munich Olympic Hall. The German Handball Federation (DHB) and the European Handball Federation (EHF) confirmed the venue in the Bavarian capital on Wednesday. Originally, the game should have been played in the new SAP Garden, but the hall won’t be ready before spring 2024. Their opening had previously been postponed from the second half of 2022 to the end of 2023.
The European Handball Championship will be played in six German cities from January 10th to 28th. In Munich, the games are planned for two preliminary round groups. “The Olympic Hall is the perfect addition to the arenas that have already been confirmed,” said EHF General Secretary Martin Hausleitner.
