From a judicial source, the case is more about “immaturity” than ideology or worrying profiles. But, nonetheless, three 15-year-old Haut-Garonne high school students will soon be judged for “apology of terrorism”, indicates the Toulouse public prosecutor’s office, confirming information from La Dépêche du Midi.
These second-year students from the Pierre-d’Aragon high school in Muret, south of the Pink City, broadcast messages last week, after the attack in Israel but before the dramatic events in Arras, to the glory of Hamas and of Daesh, particularly on their class’ WhatsApp and Snapchat loops. Interventions which sufficiently worried their comrades and those around them to trigger reports and decided the rectorate to raise the alarm with the judicial authorities.
The three young people were taken into custody on Monday by the police. They acknowledged the facts and pleaded inappropriate humor. Presented on Tuesday to a children’s judge, they are subject to educational measures while awaiting their trial. Sanctions were also taken by their high school.
