A German woman is among the hostages kidnapped by Hamas in Israel. Her aunt is now making an appeal to the federal government. Someone has to free her niece “from this horror.”

The aunt of a young German who, according to her family, was killed in the Islamist attack on Saturday has made an emotional appeal Hamas was transferred to Israel. “We don’t get any information here, only from the videos, and the situation is not good,” said Orly Louk, aunt of 22-year-old Shani Louk, to the German Press Agency in Sulz am Neckar. Your niece is a German citizen. “The responsibility lies with the German government to send someone and free my niece from this horror.”

In an unprecedented action, the Islamist Hamas attacked Israel on Saturday, killing more than 700 people and kidnapping more than 100 hostages in the Gaza Strip. The attack also targeted a music festival that the 22-year-old said her family had attended.

Abducted by Hamas in a pickup truck

Videos circulating on various Internet platforms show a young woman being kidnapped by Hamas in a pickup truck. Her mother assumes that she recognized the girl in the photos – she had already turned to the public at the weekend to ask for help.

Now the aunt also described the dramatic scenes. “She was at a party, in the desert, in no man’s land. There she was dancing with a group of people. My niece was there when a Hamas group stormed the party,” reports Orly Louk. “There was shooting, the party-goers were chased. The young people ran and hid, as far as I know. You can see what happened in the videos.”

According to the Zaka rescue service, 260 people were murdered on the festival grounds alone. Paramedics reported unimaginable scenes on site.
