Halle Berry and Drake don’t seem to be the best of friends right now. The rapper illegally used a photo of her to promote his new song “Slime You Out.”

Oscar winner Halle Berry, 57, is currently not in good terms with rapper Drake, 36. The former Bond girl clearly expressed her displeasure via Instagram after he apparently used a picture of her for his new single cover without asking. “When people you admire disappoint you, you have to get over it and move on,” Berry wrote in the comments of an Instagram tile in which she wrote: “Sometimes you have to be the bigger guy… even if you’re a woman !”

Halle Berry: “I expected better”

What exactly had happened? Drake announced his new single “Slime You Out” on September 14th together with his colleague SZ, 33, for the following day. He also posted the single cover, which shows a shocked Halle Berry covered in green slime.

The snapshot was taken at the Nikelodeon Kids Choice Awards in 2013. There, it is a long-standing tradition to cover celebrity guests with green goo. How Berry also noted in the comments that Drake asked her for permission to use the photo, but she refused. “That’s not cool, I expected better,” Berry said.

New Drake album coming in October

Drake’s new song is a preview of his upcoming album “For all the Dogs”, which is scheduled to be released on October 6th. It will be the eighth studio album by the Canadian, who has so far placed all of his long-players in first place in the album charts both in his home country and in the USA.

In September 2018, he broke an ancient Beatles record: all 25 tracks from his album “Scorpion” were in the Billboard 100 charts, seven of them in the top ten. His last work “Honestly, Nevermind” was only released last year and achieved Drake’s best position to date in the charts in Germany, third place.
