An unknown woman in Hallbergmoos has tried three times in the past few days to lure children into her car. In all cases, those addressed reacted correctly and did not respond to the offers. Police advise paying more attention.
An unknown woman in Hallbergmoos has tried three times in the past few days to lure children into her car. In all cases, those addressed reacted correctly, did not respond to the woman’s offers and quickly fled, as the police praise.
The first case happened on February 8th, when a ten-year-old boy was approached by a woman on his way home from the Am Bach school. She offered to show him puppies. However, the boy continued on his way without taking up the offer. According to the police, there were no further actions or even criminal offenses by the woman.
Two similar cases occurred on Tuesday at 4 p.m. in Goldachpark and around 6.30 p.m. in Utzschneiderweg. For example, a nine-year-old boy at Goldachpark was possibly approached by the same woman. After he coughed, she asked the boy if he needed medicine. If so, he should come to her car. At around 6:30 p.m., a 12-year-old and a 13-year-old girl were probably asked by the same woman if they were cold. They could then get in the car with her and she could drive the girls home, according to the offer.
Search measures that were initiated immediately each time have so far been unsuccessful. The police inspection does not currently assume that the Hallbergmooser children are in acute danger, but nevertheless asks for increased attention and caution until the matter has been clarified. The woman is described as strong, about 50 to 60 years old and not very tall. She spoke German and was wearing a black jacket with a hood. She was sometimes described as acting anxious.
