Hallbergmoos: Man drives a stolen car in the hotel facade – Munich

A larger contingent of police and fire brigade was on site, as it was initially feared that the hotel could have been badly damaged in the impact. However, there was no danger for the guests.

A driver drove into a hotel facade in Hallbergmoos early Sunday morning. The 21-year-old was injured, according to police. He was subsequently taken to a hospital. Because it was initially feared that the hotel on Ludwigstrasse near Munich Airport could have been more severely damaged in the impact, a larger contingent of police and fire brigade was on site. However, there was no danger for the hotel guests.

According to the police, before he drove the car against the facade of the hotel at around five in the morning, the 21-year-old stole the seat from a workers’ hostel in Eching, where he also lives. A blood test was carried out as there is a suspicion that the driver may have been under the influence of alcohol and therefore apparently lost control of the vehicle.
