Fran Finney, wife of crypto pioneer Hal Finney, has announced a charity event to help victims of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
Dubbed ‘Running Bitcoin’, the event will be a half marathon that will take place from January 1 to 10. The goal is to raise funds for ALS research through donations.
The announcement was made by Fran Finney using Hal Finney’s official Twitter account — “Running Bitcoin” — named after Hal Finney’s first Bitcoin-related tweet, which happened just a few days after Bitcoin went live. true in 2009
The event is organized in partnership with the ALS Association Golden West Chapter, which the charity says is raising money for the event by offering supporters official Running Bitcoin t-shirts and rare Hal Finney collectibles.
