Hair – Unexpected windfall – Munich district

The Gasthof zur Post and the community center in Haar can now be renovated a little more elaborately. The community has identified a source of money that was initially unknown and, according to Mayor Andreas Bukowski (CSU), is receiving a total of 784,000 euros. It concerns funds from the special fund “revitalize inner cities”, said Bukowski in the local council. The sum will be split in half. The community is planning to renovate the two connected buildings from autumn through to the coming year, and the inn will be closed. In addition, the town hall has placed an order with an office to redesign the entire center as part of an integrated urban development concept (Isek). This was triggered by the mobility concept, which resulted in plans for Leibstrasse to create a traffic-calmed business area. But because this met with resistance from business people, who feared losing parking spaces, plans were made again. Thanks to the additional 784,000 euros available, the facade of the inn and community center could be renewed, said Bukowski. The Free State has launched the special fund to help municipalities with 100 million euros from urban development funds.
