A 26-year-old driver from the Munich district apparently lost his view for a short time early on Friday morning in the thick fog on the A 99 and caused an accident. Nobody got hurt. But there was a massive backlog in the morning rush hour. The man had driven into a semitrailer at about 5.30 a.m. shortly after the Vaterstetten service station in the direction of Salzburg. In the accident in the middle lane, his car was so badly damaged that it was impossible to continue driving. Oil and gasoline leaked in large quantities. The lane had to be largely closed for about an hour. Traffic was only directed through the left lane. There was damage to property amounting to around 22,000 euros.
