The Haimhausen entrepreneur, actor and patron Willi Sedlmayr died suddenly on Friday night. With his death, Haimhausen loses an outstanding figure in local life.
Friends and companions describe Sedlmayr as “traditional Bavarian, innovative and pragmatic”, who, until the liquidation of his plastics business, embodied the prototype of the down-to-earth medium-sized company like no other: always oriented towards solutions and quality, straightforward and genuine, without any tendency to megalomania.

Willi Sedlmayr also loved life. 2022 was the year in which Willi Sedlmayr visited the places of his former pleasure particularly often: Aichach, Schrobenhausen, Altomünster. In any case, Willi could always rely on his friends. They all wanted to feel his closeness and his aura, they wanted to be with him.
But Willi Sedlmayr was also a gifted amateur actor and remains unforgotten in his leading roles in the Haimhausen theater scene. After all, there are a lot of people who came to the theater primarily to see “den Willi”. You really shouldn’t let stars like that go. Willi Sedlmayr quietly left the stage of life at the age of 76.
