Haidhausen: young people devastate the roof terrace of a 73-year-old – Munich

On Monday evening, two young people devastated the roof terrace of an elderly man in Haidhausen and destroyed the furniture there. They caused four-figure damage. The 73-year-old homeowner called the police around 7:30 p.m. and said someone was trying to break into his home. He stated that a ladder was being lowered from the flat roof of the eight-story apartment building onto his terrace below and that voices could also be heard.

When he noticed two strangers, he drove them back onto the flat roof with screams. The police immediately sent a dozen patrol cars to the scene on Rosenheimer Strasse. In the stairwell of the building, the officers found two suspects, a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old who live in adjacent parts of the city. The students were taken to an office to have their personal details determined and then handed over to their parents. They did not give a reason for the riots; they had not yet appeared with the police.
