Haar near Munich – Psychiatric Museum opens again – Munich district

The Psychiatry Museum at the Isar-Amper-Klinikum has been closed for a long time due to the corona restrictions. It has been redesigned, and the facility on the grounds of the clinic at Vockestraße 76 in Haar will be open again to those interested from Sunday, March 13th. The museum can be visited every second and fourth Sunday of the month from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Registration is not required. The Psychiatry Museum illustrates the historical development of the specialist discipline and has prepared the 115-year history of what is today the largest clinic for psychiatry, psychotherapy, psychosomatic medicine and neurology. Numerous historical exhibits provide an insight into life and work there. In particular, the crimes in the course of euthanasia during the National Socialist era are also discussed. According to the announcement, the Corona rules continue to apply. That means: 3G rule, distance of 1.5 meters and wearing an FFP-2 mask.
