Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway visit Sweden. They were welcomed by Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel.

Crown Prince Haakon (48) of Norway and his wife, Crown Princess Mette-Marit (48), have traveled to their neighboring country Sweden. There they will first visit Stockholm for two days and then visit Gothenburg for one day. as the Swedish royals announced on Instagram, among other things. Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden (44) and her husband, Prince Daniel (48), welcomed their guests to Haga Castle.

Official photos show the four royals on the steps in front of the castle’s entrance. The two crown princesses wore white dresses with a colorful pattern for the occasion, Mette-Marit also wrapped herself in a gray coat. The men wore blue suits with ties.

The aim of the visit is to strengthen economic relations

During their visit from May 2nd to 4th, Haakon and Mette-Marit will be accompanied by a large business delegation, including Norway’s Economics Minister Jan Christian Vestre (35). Anna Hallberg (58), the Swedish Minister for International Trade and Nordic Cooperation, will also be present.

The aim of the royal trip is to “strengthen the close economic cooperation between Norway and Sweden,” according to the Swedish royals’ statement. The focus is “on green industries and a knowledge-based sustainable future”.
