GTA 6 is coming and fans can’t wait. There is increasing evidence that the game will deliver the best gaming experience when released on a PS5 Pro.

Rockstar Games has finally introduced fans to the next title in the action series ten years after GTA 5. GTA 6 will be released for Xbox Series X/S and PS5 in 2025.
It is very likely that Sony will have released a PS5 Pro by then. A well-known journalist and leaker suggests a release for September 2024. With GTA 6 expected to be released in early 2025, releasing a more powerful console would make sense.
PS6 as the best platform for gaming?
Sony could generate a lot of hype about the PS5 Pro right around Christmas 2024 and point out optimized titles like GTA 6, which will be released soon. No other game will be able to match the appeal of GTA 6 and when fans hear that they can play it on the PS5 Pro with the best possible graphics and frame rate, they will be very tempted to buy this console.
The game’s first trailer already shows impressive graphics and it raises the question of whether current consoles are capable of such graphics with a frame rate of 30 to 60 frames per second.
The well-known journalist Jeff Grubb predicts a DLSS-like feature on the PS5 Pro, which should enable top graphics at a high frame rate. GTA 6 could therefore run better on the most powerful PlayStation 5 than on Xbox Series X.
PC version not in sight
An Xbox Series X Pro probably won’t be released and a PC version of GTA 6 has not yet been announced. With a PS5 Pro, Sony has the chance to say: “GTA 6 plays best on PlayStation.”
In 2025, Sony could even sell bundles of a PS5 Pro with GTA 6, which could be particularly appealing to game fans without a PlayStation.
All in all, combining the game with a more powerful PlayStation 5 seems very attractive, although neither a PS5 Pro nor a GTA 6 bundle have been announced. Therefore, you will have to wait for further announcements.
