Grünwald organizes help for refugees from the Ukraine – district of Munich

Many refugees from the Ukraine have already arrived in Grünwald, and so far they have mainly been accommodated privately. In the meantime, the community is trying to make other housing options available, which will then be coordinated and allocated exclusively via the Munich district office. The neighborhood help Grünwald and the helpers’ circle work closely together with the evangelical Thomas community in Grünwald and the association Help from person to person in coping with the new tasks, with the support of the community and Mayor Jan Neusiedl. A first meeting with the refugees from Ukraine and their hosts was well received. Ingrid Reinhart from the circle of helpers and Ana Tolanov from the neighborhood help informed the participants about the numerous help options and offers that will soon be provided with the help of volunteers. Among other things, it was about donations in kind, financial support, support from authorities, German lessons, leisure activities, advice and support in overcoming everyday problems. The refugees can also visit the Grünwalder Tafel and the second-hand shop in the meeting house via the neighborhood help.
