Grünwald has a new BRK ambulance station – Munich district

The rescue station of the Bavarian Red Cross in Grünwald has moved into a new building and is thus equipped for emergency rescue. From January onwards, there will be an intensive incubator there, which will enable premature and newborn babies to be transferred. The new building, designed by the Grünwald architect and CSU councilor Alexander Steininger, also offers other advantages. The construction costs amounted to 850,000 euros, exactly the amount approved by the local council. In the new house behind the fire station on Hubert-Hopf-Straße, separate relaxation rooms will be available for women and men. Furthermore, together with the Munich Red Cross Academy, a rescue station is being operated in the new rooms, in which emergency paramedics are trained. The new building had become inevitable because, among other things, the space required for cleaning and disinfecting the ambulance was not available, and because the 25 employees are no longer all male.
