The first thing has happened: “Triage”, the second feature film offshoot of the “Großstadtrevier”, is currently being made in Hamburg.

For almost 40 years and almost 500 episodes, the ““Big city district” faithful service the evening before. Now the long-running hit on the first is getting its second feature-length spin-off. Filming has just begun in Hamburg for “Triage”, which is the working title of the 90-minute film. The ARD announced this in a press release.

The story of “Großstadtrevier: Triage”

The focus of the film is civilian investigator Harry Möller – played by Maria Ketikidou (57), who recently celebrated her 30th anniversary with “Großstadtrevier”. The policewoman is injured while responding to a mass brawl in Hamburg’s HafenCity. Paramedic Mirja Grabowski is also wounded and the two women barricade themselves in the ambulance.

In the hospital and during the investigation, Möller encounters problems with the profit-oriented healthcare system. The titular triage becomes the focus – i.e. the question of who will be treated first when there are a large number of injured or sick people. The term became known to the public for the first time during the corona pandemic.

According to the summary of the story, it’s about dealing with mistakes. Also with Harry Möller, who has to ask herself why she abandoned her colleague Nils Sanchez (Enrique Fiß, 31) during the mission.

These “big city area” stars are in the film

In addition to Ketikidou and Fiß, Sven Fricke (44), Patrick Abozen (39), Sinha Melina Gierke (34) and Saskia Fischer (58) are also part of the film from the usual cast of the “big city area”.

The director is Florian Gottschick (42), who has already directed several regular episodes of the cult crime thriller. The script comes from Andreas Kaufmann, a regular author of the series.

The first “Großstadtrevier” film was shown on May 19, 2021 at prime time in the first. The 90-minute program entitled “St. Pauli, 06:07” drew almost seven million viewers to the television three years ago. At Christmas 2011, “The Christmas Grouch” was shown as a full-length film. However, it was a compilation of a double episode that had already been broadcast. That’s why ARD doesn’t count it as a film. “Großstadtrevier: Triage” is scheduled to be broadcast at the turn of the year 2024/25. There is no exact date yet.
