Grosso officially dismissed by OL, Pierre Sage takes over as interim

OL published a press release announcing the dismissal of their coach Fabio Grosso: “Taking into account the results obtained and after an in-depth analysis of the situation of the professional team, currently 18th in Ligue 1, Olympique Lyonnais has decided to implement a procedure which could lead to the termination of the employment contract of Fabio Grosso and his deputies, Raffaelle Longo, Francesco Vaccariello, Vittorio Carello, and Mauro Carretta.”

The club confirms that Pierre Sage is taking over as interim manager.

In a press release published this Thursday, OM announced that it had reached “an agreement” for the arrival of Medhi Benatia as sports advisor.

The Marseille club specifies: “In close collaboration with Pablo Longoria, Chairman of the Management Board, and Stéphane Tessier, Managing Director, he will assist in the development and implementation of the club’s sporting strategy, in particular to attract, train and retain the best talents.
