Großhadern Clinic: Pilot project against post-Covid – Fürstenfeldbruck

from

Stefan Salger, Germering

There is not much good news in the pandemic at the moment. When Jürgen Stromeier sees the full intensive care units on TV, the statistics with the fatalities or the children in homeschooling, then tears come to him. “I’m built very close to the water there,” says the 80-year-old native of Berlin. And yet this afternoon in the house in Germering is about something like a ray of light in the cloudy November gray. Stromeier gets another coffee, his wife Gisela, 75, adjusts the plate with the pastries. And then it just gushes out of them. They tell how they got infected. How Corona still had them under control months later, how they found their way to Großhadern through a stroke of luck – and were the first to receive a new post-Covid therapy there.
