The French Lauriane Nolot became world kitefoil champion and Axel Mazella took the bronze medal on Saturday in The Hague, in this discipline which will make its appearance on the Olympic program at the Paris-2024 Games.
After winning the sailing event test in Marseille a few weeks ago, Lauriane Nolot, 24, did it again in the Netherlands. She will certainly be a chance for a French medal at the Olympic Games next year.
Alex Mazella, also a winner in Marseille, had to settle for bronze in the men’s final, after winning his semi-final. In total, eight French people finished in the Top 10 at these world sailing championships.
