It was wild in London when England played against Scotland, in Trafalgar Square the background noise was a mixture of fan songs and police sirens, the general intoxication pushed the inhibition threshold below two meters. Two weeks after this preliminary round of the European Football Championship, the consequences can be seen in numbers: 1991 Scots who attended at least one European Championship event during the period of infection tested positive for the corona virus. A third of the 1991 was at fan events in Scotland, a good two thirds were in London, 397 even at Wembley Stadium. The question now is what the UK government is doing with these numbers. One possible answer would be: nothing.
