Because the line-up didn’t offer any particularly unusual highlights, this year’s Rock im Park turned out to be a three-day summer festival of a special kind, mainly because of the good weather and because of its exemplary, relaxed audience. More romantic than to the sounds of Kings of Leon a summer night was seldom heralded. And weaknesses of dead pants at their Nuremberg performance, the audience compensated with their tireless desire to party.
