Grafrath – Too much chlorine in the water – Fürstenfeldbruck

The high chlorine value in the pool water makes it currently impossible to reopen the Grafrath swimming pool. According to a press release from the Grafrath community, the pool should have opened on Monday, and the administration is now hoping that it will be possible to swim again in the last week of January. The postponement until then is necessary because a measurement showed that the chlorine value was exceeded by an eminently high level. The entire filter material now has to be replaced ahead of time, according to the message. The flushing and cleaning work that has been carried out on the technology and the supply lines since November has obviously not been sufficient to lower the high chlorine level. It is known that in the current situation the swimming pool plays an essential role for recreational athletes, clubs and especially children and young people in swimming training, writes the municipality. Therefore, attempts should be made to compensate for lost swimming pool times during the week of the carnival holidays.
