The cultural association Sankt Rasso, together with the Evangelical Lutheran parish Grafrath, invites you to an exhibition of pictures and sculptures in the rooms and in the courtyard of the Michaelkirche in Grafrath. The title of the exhibition allows unlimited possibilities of both the subject and the material of the work of art. This is reflected in the exhibits presented by 17 artists from the region – pictures in various techniques – acrylic, oil, watercolors, linocut, silk painting. Sculptures made of wood in the form of a tree of life, a man-high angel, made of wax, clay and bronze, a filigree installation on the subject will be on view both in the church interior and in the courtyard.
A picture of Hubert Distler (+2004) and his wife Eva will particularly attract the attention of the visitors. The all-round frieze in Michael’s Church was made by Hubert Distler. The opening times are: Saturday, September 25th, from 1pm to 6pm, after which there is an opportunity to sing new spiritual songs of creation with Pastor Mehl; Sunday, September 26th, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. To conclude, the Evangelical Lutheran parish invites you to a musical evening prayer at 6 p.m. The current pandemic rules apply.
