Grafing: knife attack in the beer garden – guests overwhelm the attacker, man injured – Munich

A 49-year-old man was attacked with a knife in a Grafingen beer garden late on Saturday evening. He suffered cuts, the suspect was overpowered and was then arrested by the police, according to the press office of the police headquarters in Upper Bavaria North on Sunday. Accordingly, the Munich II public prosecutor’s office has initiated investigations into an attempted homicide. The Erding criminal police have started investigations.

Around 11:50 p.m., a dispute broke out between the 49-year-old beer garden visitor and a 66-year-old guest, according to a police press release. The 66-year-old then pulled a knife and injured his opponent in the jaw area. With the support of other guests in the beer garden, the suspect was brought to the ground and held until the alarmed police forces arrived. The man was then arrested. The 49-year-old was taken to hospital with cut injuries.
