Gräfelfing – emergency guide goes to all households – district of Munich

The municipality of Gräfelfing has prepared for emergencies. In discussions with companies, pharmacies, medical practices, grocery stores, the fire brigade, the Malteser emergency service and the police, the supply in an emergency – for example if there is a longer power failure – was determined. The supply of fuel for emergency generators is guaranteed, said Mayor Peter Köstler (CSU) at the most recent meeting of the main committee. The water supply is also secured. Emergency care is guaranteed for a period of 15 days. The pharmacies can also ensure the necessary cooling of medicines themselves.

Gräfelfingen residents will soon find the new brochure “Personal Emergency Advisor” in their mailbox. It contains tips for personal provision, but also important addresses and contact points. At the town hall, at the primary school in Gräfelfing and at the retirement and nursing home Rudolf-und-Maria-Gunst-Haus in Lochham there is a so-called “KatLighthouse” as a decentralized contact point in the event of a crisis for those seeking help and information. Mayor Köstler emphasized that everyone must take responsibility for their own safety and that the lighthouses should only be visited in emergencies. “The community cannot help everyone at once.”
