Graefelfing – tree felling for motorway rehabilitation – district of Munich

The renovation of the motorway tunnel on the A 96 in the Gräfelfing area requires extensive tree felling. They are mainly necessary because of the work on the tunnel ceiling, Mayor Peter Köstler (CSU) announced at the most recent meeting of the municipal council. Tree felling is required on the property on the tunnel between Maria-Eich-Strasse, Rudolfstrasse and Jahnstrasse. The thick layer of humus must also be removed. Part of the property on Rudolfstraße is affected, on which the beekeepers’ association has set up some of its beehives. These have already been moved within the property, as has a hut belonging to the association. The beekeepers’ association can live well with the procedure, said Annette Rosellen, chairwoman of the association. The municipality is providing the association with a new place to live independently of the tree felling: the teaching apiary will soon be moving to a part of the nursery property in Bogenstrasse. The association then wants to expand its activities and also has the opportunity to spin honey there.
