Graceland: Judge stops auction of Elvis Presley estate – Panorama

A dubious promissory note, a suspected forged signature and a notary who never claims to have authenticated the document. Now a judge has saved Elvis Presley’s estate from a bizarre takeover – for now.

Tourists travelling to Memphis in the US state of Tennessee like to stop by Elvis Presley Boulevard. There, among other things, is the villa called Graceland, where the singer lived a rather extravagant life and was buried in the bathroom after his death in 1977. Also resting on the property are his parents, a grandmother, a grandson and his daughter Lisa Marie, who died in 2023 and after whom one of his planes is named, a nearby parked car. Convair880.
