The start date for the final episodes of the Netflix series “Grace and Frankie” has been set. The seventh season will continue in April.

Since August 2021, fans have been eagerly awaiting the new episodes of the Netflix series “Grace and Frankie”. Now the streaming service has announced the start date for the remaining twelve episodes of the final seventh season. Beginning April 29, Jane Fonda (84) returns as Grace and Lily Tomlin (82) as Frankie, delivering the promised finale to fans.

Filming postponed due to the corona pandemic

Netflix had already offered a foretaste of the finale of the series with four episodes last August. Due to the corona pandemic, the shooting of the other episodes was then postponed by several months.

Series creator Marta Kauffman (65) declared 2021 in an interview with “Good Housekeeping”: “I hope the show inspires people to realize that just because one phase of their life ends doesn’t mean another doesn’t begin – and it can be better than the previous phases.”

“Grace and Frankie” is about two women whose husbands have fallen in love. The two become roommates and become friends. The series premiered on Netflix in 2015. With a total of 94 episodes after the conclusion of the seventh season, it is the longest-running series on the streaming service.
