The magazine “GQ” honored the men and women of the year with a gala in Berlin. Tatort actor Vladimir Burlakov caused a surprise on the red carpet. He celebrated his coming out in public and was accompanied by his friend Martin. “It just felt right today to go public together. Martin is the man who will stay by my side forever. Why should I hide him?” Said Burlakov “Bild” newspaper.
The Italian style icon Chiara Ferragni provided the fashionable eye-catcher of the evening. She wore a gold breastplate from the Schiaparelli label. The 34-year-old was honored as “Woman of the Year”.

Due to the corona pandemic, the award ceremony took place on a smaller scale than usual. This time the “Men of the Year” were chosen at a dinner in a restaurant near Berlin’s Gendarmenmarkt. Only 150 guests were invited. The 23rd gala of the German edition of “GQ” magazine was moderated by Katrin Bauerfeind. The international magazine also honors the “Men of the Year” in other countries.
